Focusing on one campaign to start with 0
I’ve decided recently that my single goal as a relatively newbie affiliate marketer needs to be to get a single profitable campaign going. What a revelation! Beneath all of the stuff that confounds me from day to day that is the bottom line and I need to focus on that.
I’m trying to not get distracted by much else in the meantime while I get that one profitable campaign figured out.
Just 6 months ago I started reading about the Google Cash system. If you have not read Google Cash yet I recommend it, especially if you’re new to PPC stuff. It’s got everything you’d need to know to get started working with Google Adwords (and other PPC systems).
I’m using PPC to drive traffic from Google to a landing page and then through to the product web site.
I’ve decided to stick with this method for now until I can make it work, then move onto the next thing. I’ve had my doubts in the initial stages of running and testing my currently active campaign, but this campaign appears to be to the point where I’m breaking even. Not bad!
If I’ve learned anything so far it’s that starting up and testing a campaign can be expensive! I just need to get one of them over the hump and make it profitable so that it can pay for it’s startup costs and then turn into a profit center.
Once it looks like this particular campaign is profitable (if I’m able to continue to tweak and improve it further) I will finally move on to trying to test another completely new campaign, in search of the next profitable campaign to add to my portfolio.
Stay tuned for more updates, this is just a start! I’m going to get into more detail about some of the software that I’ve been using that is working well and some of the techniques that I’m finding to work well for me so far.
