Alternate Recent Posts: A clever, simple & useful Wordpress plugin: 3

Jun28

I love this simple little widget. What does Alternate Recent Posts do?

It allows you to show a list of recent posts in the sidebar, but it excludes any posts that are actually displaying on the page somewhere. This allows you to show recent posts that are not listed on the home page content area of your blog, which reduces redundancy.

I just put this widget on this blog. The recent posts on the right sidebar that are listed are not any posts that you see listed on the home page, when looking at the home page of this site.

Awesome.

This lets site users dig a little deeper into my site right from the home page, and the site is displaying the content intelligently rather than redundantly. A battle of huge words I guess.

For more information, visit the Alternate Recent Posts plugin home page.

If you want to install it into your Wordpress site, remember that you can download & install widgets right through the admin now!
