Time to get back on the horse

Well, after a long a thoroughly draining week at my day job, it’s time to start thinking about what I can do this weekend to push my affiliate marketing goals forward.

I hate weeks like this because I’m drained mentally already and still have to gain a little extra push just to keep working towards my goal of becoming a successful affiliate marketer. These are the tough days.

I find that I usually need to take a step back from everything on days like this, and then jump back in the next day. What do I mean by that? Take a day like today. It’s Friday and I’ve had an extremely long week at my day job, mentally draining. I have to desire to even sit in front of a computer at the end of the day to work towards my other goal of being an affiliate marketer. Rather than go straight home after work, and dig right in to the affiliate marketing stuff, I need to just go home and do nothing that has to do with computers or anything, at least for the evening. Then, tomorrow I will wake up and not have the stress of the day job on my shoulders (since it’s Saturday) and then I can start the day fresh and focusing on what I want to focus on.

At the same time, I’ve found that if I watch some video tutorials or anything related to affiliate marketing, I always get sucked right back in and get excited again. So – maybe I’ll just go home after work and fire up the next of the Clickbank Code videos I need to watch to finish off that training course. I’m not sure what it is, but I can be having the worst, most stressful week ever and as soon as I start watching videos or reading materials related to how I can improve my affiliate marketing techniques, I always forget how tired I am and get all excited and ready to go again.

Weird.
