It’s time to test a new campaign 0

Jul8

Lately I’ve been working my way through the Clickbank Code series of videos – and I’ve learned a LOT of good stuff about researching and finding possible products to promote (on Clickbank, of course).

I’m just wrapping up the final videos in the series and now it’s time to put this stuff into practice.

So, where do I start?

I’ve already ran the numbers on about 6 possible products to promote – and I found that 3 of them are actually worth pursuing. Great start!

From that point, I just picked the product that I was most intested in personally and now it’s time to start researching keywords and building a keyword list.

The tough part is going to be building the site. The Clickbank Code suggests a pretty full fledged site format, including info pages, blog articles, privacy policies, contact page and landing pages. That’s a lot of site to build!

But that’s okay for me – I’m a web developer. It’ll take a little bit of time but will actually be easy.

My first diversion of the day

One of the first things I thought of once I realized I was going to need to build these types of sites (with several pages) for Adwords advertising, I started to realize I should develop a “template” that I can use to quickly put together the sites and landing pages for campaign testing.

I still think this is a good idea. I’ve been sitting on the idea for about a week now, and still like it, so I’m now convinced that I need to do this.

I will be building a template site that mimics the site structure suggested in the Clickbank Code. Once I’ve put it to use a couple time and get a chance to refine it a bit and work out any issues, I’ll make it available as a download for other Clickbank Code users, and affiliate marketers in general.

I aim to make the template easy to modify. It should be something that people can download, swap in some graphics and change some file names, add page copy and launch it.

Tracking

I’m planning on using Google Cash Automator as the tracking tool for my next test campaign. I gave it a test run on the last campaign that failed, so I got a good idea of what I need to do to use it effectively.

This next time I use the Automator, I will be able to get it set up and integrated much more quickly than the last time. Yeah!

Conclusion

So yeah, I’ve got some work to do now. But, I’m feeling confident this time. I now know how to carry out some research to better identify products on Clickbank that might product profits. And knowing is half the battle. Or whatever they say.

Now I just gotta wait until I get home tonight and get to work :)
