Guide to Keeping Smart Phones Charged
After running a Blackberry for a couple years, then a Droid 1 for a couple years after that, and now the Droid Bionic for a couple days, I’ve come up with a simple guide to keeping these smartphones charged and ready most of the time.
My one and only tip in this guide is this:
- Buy multiple phone chargers and keep them everywhere you spend decent amounts of time, and also carry one with you
Yep, it’s about that simple.
Here’s how I work it, I’ve got five chargers at my disposal currently:
- I leave one at home, plugged in at my home office/studio desk
- I leave another one at home, plugged in by my nightstand in the bedroom
- I leave another one in the car, always plugged in and ready to accept the phone
- I leave another one at the office, this one is always plugged in by my desk
- I have another one in my backpack, ready to go for whenever I’m at coffee shops, traveling, or someplace other than the 4 locations I listed above
With this collection of chargers for my Droid, I can pretty much plug my phone in at any of the places where I would be making typical use of the phone and where I spend a lot of time, and don’t need to remember to carry my charger with me to do so.
And then I also have the charger that I keep in my backpack, which always travels with me when I’m typically at places that I don’t have a phone charger waiting for me.
Yep, with close to $100 worth of phone chargers, you can keep the damn thing (that’s what I call my phone) charged up and ready to roll at all times.
