As I sit here and try to figure out what I want to work on next, I ponder. What have I learned so far when it comes to affiliate marketing? I’ve come a long way in a few months, but I still have a long way to go.
Here’s a few general bullet points regarding what I’ve learned and what I’ve experienced up until this point. Reviewing this makes me realize how much of a beginner I am right now, ha!

Well, my next campaign failed miserably. I didn’t even get one sale over a large number of clicks. It was an Adwords/Landing Page/Clickbank campaign.
However – I’m not wholly disappointed. This failed campaign was my first attempt at using Google Cash Automator (part of Google Cash Detective) to track and optimized a campaign so I got a good bit of experience on how to set all that up and use the system.

Just as soon as I proclaimed that I was going to stick with Google Adwords and a landing page to make my first profitable campaign, I read some things that got me thinking I should maybe open up my approach a bit. You see, I mainly want to stick with just a couple systems so that I get comfortable working with them before moving onto the next system. An example of this is using Google Adwords solely until I get it figured out and feel comfortable working with it before I start using any other search marketing advertising programs, such as MSN, Yahoo! and the like.

I’ve decided recently that my single goal as a relatively newbie affiliate marketer needs to be to get a single profitable campaign going. What a revelation! Beneath all of the stuff that confounds me from day to day that is the bottom line and I need to focus on that.
